There are two primary types of content you can share on Figure 1: clinical cases and posts. Clinical cases (cases) are used to share patient cases. Posts are used to share topics for discussion, medical articles, research and guidelines, etc.

#### How do I share a case?

**On mobile**

01. Tap the plus sign at the bottom of the home screen or select _Create_ from the side menu  
02. Select _Clinical Case_  
03. Choose if you’d like to share the case as yourself or anonymously  
04. Tap _Add photos_  
05. Take a photo using the camera or select an image from your photo library or another source  
    - We recommend including an image when you share a case, but it is not required  
    - You can include up to five images  
06. Tap the pencil icon to [edit your image(s)](/content/resources/faqs/sharing-a-case/how-to-use-deidentifying-tools/index.html)  
07. Add a short, descriptive title for your case (optional)  
08. Add a case description  
    - Include relevant information such as patient history, symptoms, possible treatment, or differential diagnoses  
    - You may also include a question to prompt discussion or ask the community for feedback  
09. Choose a tag for your case (optional)  
10. Select a case status — if you’d like instant feedback from the community, select _Unresolved_, then [follow these steps](/content/resources/faqs/sharing-a-case/how-to-page-a-case-that-requires-time-sensitive-feedback/index.html)  
11. Select specialty and subspecialty categories — make sure to categorize accurately so your case is discoverable for other healthcare professionals  
12. Tap _Submit_ to submit your case for moderation

**On the web**

01. Click _Create_ at the top of the home screen  
02. Select _Clinical Case_

    - We recommend including an image when you share a case, but it is not required  
    - You can repeat this step to include up to five images

#### What happens once I submit my case or post?

Our team of moderators will review your case or post and add appropriate [MeSH®terms](https://www.nlm.nih.gov/mesh/meshhome.html). Learn more about our [moderation process](/content/safe-and-secure-platform/#moderation/index.html).

You will receive a notification whether your case or post has been accepted or not. If your case or post is not accepted, you will receive an email explaining why and you might have an opportunity to revise and resubmit.

#### I’m in a group, can I share my case or post with just my group?

Members can join and create public and private [groups](/content/feature-groups/index.html). Content shared in groups are only available to group members. Any Figure 1 member can join public groups, but only those invited by the group creator can join private groups. If you are part of a group and would like to share only with your group:

1. Select if you want to share your case or post to a group or publicly on Figure 1  
2. Follow the steps above to upload a case or post

#### Can I save a draft of my case or post?

If you need to save a draft of your case or post:

**On mobile**

Tap _Save as draft_ at the bottom of the New Clinical Case or New Post screen.

**On the web**

Click _Save as draft_ at the top of the New Clinical Case or New Post screen.

You can find your saved items in your Drafts folder and submit it at a later time.

#### Why can’t I share a case or post?
