For individuals living with hard-to-treat epilepsy, patients may be on multiple medications to help manage their seizures. In this episode, epilepsy experts Ann Hyslop Segeren, MD, and David Burdette, MD, continue their conversation about an antiseizure medication (ASM) for the management of seizures associated with treatment-resistant epilepsy. They discuss consensus-driven practices for concomitant use with other ASMs, including how and when to monitor for adverse events, and what to consider when tailoring doses while initiating concomitant treatments.
