Orthopedic Surgery

UPDATE Pictures from limb salvage surgery using a reverse shoulder megaprosthesis. This is a lateral trans-deltoid approach on a left shoulder. Pic.1 shows the resected proximal humerus with soft tissue margins around the pathological fracture. Pic.2 is the glenoid becoming a glenosphere. Pic.3 shows how the megaprosthesis fits and the preserved axillary nerve. Pic.4 explains which tendons were retained using tractors, and arrows point to holes where they will be reattached (which you can see on Pic.5).
