Pre- and post-operative views following tongue reduction surgery for macroglossia in a patient with BWS.

Top panel shows patient at rest. The tongue is protruding and the mouth cannot be closed. Middle panel shows post-op appearance 6 months after surgery. Note the unilateral open-bite secondary to the asymmetric tongue enlargement as well as the edge-to-edge relationship of the incisors.

The first was a keyhole technique (which you can see the scar in 3rd photo), it did not achieve desired outcome so a 2nd one was done using a "W" cut (anterior tongue reduction). Pregnant patients at the age of 30 years. She's been complaining for 4 months. B12 replacement was performed. Iron level is normal. Nistatin treatment was given but no response. Taste sensations decreased and lips pain with tongue. Any suggestions?
