A 60+ year old was ice fishing when he looked at his home and noted it to be on fire. He ran into the blaze to try to save things but described the heat as too intense, so he ran back out. He presented to the primary care office with a complaint of burned ears.

This is for students, please: what do you see? What do you think the temperature was of the insult to him which caused this injury to each ear? (This could have happened to anyone of any age group, so I have included pediatrics as a tagged group.)
