Case Summary
A 24 Year Old Female, presented with Acute Abdominal Pain. Was managed conservatively at a primary health centre and shifted to a higher centre for further management. She hadn’t passed stools in 4 days, abdominal distension, severe pain, low urine output, hypovolemia and febrile. A CT abdomen with contrast showed acute intestinal obstruction with contrast not seen past the DJ flexure. On Laparotomy, Image 1 shows a Gangrenous bowel loop, image 2 shows terminal ileum being gangrenous, an Ileo-Cecal Volvulus was noted over a Vitello-Intestinal Band. Figure 3 shows the complete resected specimen.
