\Axial CT (image 1) shows a parenchymal hemorrhage (arrow) within the right parietal lobe. Subsequent axial contrast-enhanced CT (image 2 and 3) show innumerable blood vessels within the right parietal lobe. Digital subtraction angiography (Image 4) highlights the vascular anomaly consistent with cerebral proliferative angiopathy. Cerebral proliferative angiopathy is a vascular lesion with diffuse intravascular shunting. It is differentiated from an arteriovenous malformation by normal intervening brain parenchyma.

\Axial (images 1, 2) and sagittal (image 3) CT angiogram images display a middle cerebral artery aneurysm (arrow), which is partially thrombosed, as well as thrombosis of a portion of the right middle cerebral artery. Collateral vessels are observed distally. Pediatric cerebral aneurysms may be related to various conditions, including collagen vascular diseases, connective tissue disorders, trauma, and infections. They are most commonly found at the internal carotid artery bifurcation.
