Patient Case
Patient traveled to Mexico one year ago and breaks out into rashes on a daily basis. She has bug bites that have remained since trip. Patient has taken #Triamcinolone, #Paromomycin, #Tinidazole and nothing has worked. Imaging and blood work show no issues. Patient is healthy and has adjusted diet to no success. Any ideas?

Patient in my rehab facility presents with reddened and itchy palms (without any sort of lesion here) plus swelling and itching of his right wrist (flat, raised bumps on the wrist, hard to see here). He has been putting lotrimin on it for several days and it was relieving the itching, but the redness has spread and it continues to itch. I think it might be your run-of-the-mill fungal infection, but would this also explain the swelling?
View CaseNew patient reporting this rash for months that hasn't responded to topical/oral anti-fungals or topical steroids. Intensely pruritic with no systemic symptoms. Lesions on palms as well. No travel, no pets, no new foods. Ideas?
