Pt TW is a 62 yo male, ECOG 0, with newly diagnosed floor of mouth squamous cell carcinoma. The patient has a 40-pack year history, but quit tobacco use 32 years ago. Staging work up reveals a 4 cm primary tumor, as well as 3 ipsilateral lymph nodes involved, with no evidence of distant disease. The patient underwent surgical resection. Final pathology of the SCC demonstrates negative margins, negative perineural invasion, and negative lymphovascular invasion. 3/18 lymph nodes involved with cancer, one of which had evidence of extracapsular spread (ECS).
