24M fell from 20 feet and sustained an open left femur fracture and a closed left femoral neck fracture. He had an open wound midway down the left thigh that was 3 cm in length that communicates with the fracture. He was neurovascularly intact. Of note, the patient had a BMI of 39. What would be your surgical approach(es)? What implant(s) would you request for? What are your options for obtaining and maintaining your reduction?
