Description

A bit of a sensitive case but quite rare. A 26-year-old woman came into labour Ward P1 G3, 29 weeks gestation with twins. She was unbooked and presented today. Poor obstetric history, previous fresh stillbirth, and miscarriage. Of note was that there was cord presentation. So she was rushed into the theatre with a 6cm dilated cervix, and a C-Section was performed. Conjoined twins, weight 1.8 kg, had other malformations like an imperforate anus, ambiguous genitalia, and fused arm/hand. Unfortunately, they passed away. Mother received counseling and psychological support from the hospital.
