Case Discussion
I was hoping to get another perspective for this case. The orthodontic team in our clinic has put a treatment plan but I feel that it could be better to have some specialist insight before proceeding with the case.
- We were reluctant to think of expander appliances because of the patient’s cooperation.

Pulled this wisdom tooth (number 1, upper right quadrant) this morning. Yes, it is a wisdom tooth. I had to ask my boss to make sure. Apparently, its so rare that it only happens in about 1 of every 50,000 cases. I thought it was pretty cool.

Oral Surgery: impacted 3rd molar. I think the less iatrogenic the surgery is, the happier and healthier our patient will be. In this particular case I tried to go simple: a horizontal incision with mesial vertical discharge and total detachment of the flap followed by a small occlusal dental wear.
