KEY POINTS: • Understanding of immune pathways involved in the pathogenesis of chronic urticaria, atopic dermatitis, and psoriasis is growing. • Biologic therapies targeting specific immune-related targets are rapidly becoming viable options for patients with severe or refractory dermatologic diseases. • Biologic agents allow a safe and efficacious alternative in some refractory skin diseases. SUMMARY: Several biologic agents currently play an important therapeutic role for management of patients with CU, AD, and psoriasis, particularly omalizumab for antihistamineresistant CU, IL-1 inhibitors for CAPS and Schnitzler syndrome, dupilumab for recalcitrant AD, and IL-17 inhibitors for psoriasis. It is likely that the therapeutic utility of biologic agents for patients with immune-related dermatologic disorders will expand in the future.
