found metallic (3 x 0.7 cm) structure in trabeculae of the left ventricle during autopsy. Can someone identify what it resembles?
Saw the patient yesterday and was able to gather more information. Unfortunately he is a poor historian which explains the gaps in his records from outside sources. He's absolutely miserable. Sadly, he is bedbound and has been for awhile which has caused substantial weight gain. This is likely complicating healing. patches of alopecia were seen on scalp. One thing I forgot to mention earlier were his ear deformities and stunted growth. Dexa scan showed bone age is 2-3 years less than his actual age and current height is 5'3. Could be due to medications he's taken, but wanted to mention it just in case. His ears are oddly shaped and long. He wore plastic cups over his ears as a child because he was so embarrassed by them. Very sad. Started on high doses of Remicade and immunomodulators. Also being diligently treated for pain. Will continue to update.

patient in late teens presenting after a collapse, no chest pain, no previous cardiac history, no history of sudden death in family, are there any features in this ekg that would warrant further work-up or is this just a pediatric ekg?
