Case Summary
7 y/o female with huge hole in tympanic membrane. PMH PE tubes. Was told the tube left a hole, but this is much bigger. Present for over 1 year and will require tympanoplasty to repair. Moderate conductive hearing loss. Ear is now draining thin yellow serous fluid. How does a tube do this much damage?

- A. Both the left and right ears have conductive hearing loss, but the right ear has greater loss
- B. The left ear has conductive hearing loss, and the right ear has sensorineural hearing loss
- C. The left ear has combined conductive and sensorineural hearing loss, and the right ear has conductive hearing loss
- D. The left ear has conductive hearing loss, and the right ear has combined conductive and sensorineural hearing loss
- E. Both ears have sensorineural hearing loss, but the right is worse than the left
