Open fracture on a 40 year old male. The story was he simply "stepped off a curb the wrong way." :/
this is his ROM before fixator came off. I would not spam his ankle joint if I did it over again. He has MCL deficiency and works around the house with mild to moderate pain. He can work all day and tolerates it well. He moved to MN and I referred him to hospital in MN for ongoing treatment.
58yom presented to ED stating his ankle gave out as he got up to get coffee this morning. States he fell and hit his head. Head CT negative. Pt is HIV/HCV positive, COPD, 46 pack year smoker, and documented osteopenia.
