Sternum fracture

Focused lateral chest radiograph shows a fracture of the sternum (arrow) following an incident involving a trampoline. Sternal fractures typically result from significant blunt trauma; however, isolated fractures can occur during activities such as trampolining or in bounce houses. This latter type of injury is not associated with intrathoracic injuries.
