A 41 year old male presents to the emergency room right after having a seizure. He explains to you that he’s never had a seizure before, but over the past few months he’s experienced headaches, sense of confusion, and difficulty with balance. You ask the patient if he has traveled recently and he confirms that he travels back and forth between Mexico and the United States multiple times a year to see his family in rural Mexico.
