Coronal post contrast T1 MR image in an afebrile 15 year old with headache shows a bilobed pituitary abscess (red arrow) initially thought to be a tumor. Purulent material was drained at surgery with no endocrine complications. This is a rare lesion that may not present with signs of infection, as in this case. #NeuroWednesday

20s yo male came into family health clinic with fatigue. Testosterone labs low. MRI of pituitary done to r/o abnormalities. Just wondering if anyone knows what that white nodule is? A cyst?
