12 yr old girl complains of abdominal pain and swelling. CT showed a large mass of unknown origin. A 7.3 lb mass removed and was attached to the right ovary (it was removed too). Pathology was negative for malignancy.

Similar cases

Coronal T2-W MRI of the pelvis shows a giant fluid-containing mass (yellow arrow) arising from the left ovary. The normal right ovary (red arrow) is also visible. At resection, this mass represented a benign serous cystadenoma. These masses, when smaller, can mimic a functional cyst. The best way to differentiate a cyst from serous cystadenoma is routine follow-up; serous cystadenomas persist.

Ovarian mass. Dx?

large ovarian cyst removed through mini lap incision. Mass drained thru mini lap in controlled fashion with suction needle then once deflated, can bring out thru small incision.

Massive pelvic mass in 50- year old lady. +- 18kg. Take a guess what it was based on cut-up photo.
