THE NATURAL HISTORY AND PREVENTABLE TRAGEDY OF DIABETIC PERIPHERAL ARTERIAL DISEASE

Why you should join Figure 1

Suggested Cases

Patient in his early 40s, hypertensive and well controlled BP. Diabetic since 2016. I worked up Ozempic to 1 mg weekly and in addition to that, patient also taking metformin 1000 mg 2x1, pioglitazone 45 mg and glimipiride 4 mg. His A1c dropped from 12.5% to 7.4% as of most recent visit. His diabetes is getting under control and the patient has lost some weight as well. Patient complains about the appearance of the feet, and states diabetic neuropathy in toes. Before was on gabapentin but didn’t tolerate it. Any suggestions how to help the feet look more appealing. Patient lives in a sunny area and always wears sandals and I am suspecting hyperpigmentation. Thank you!
