Patient Case Details
83 male presents w/ CP yesterday afternoon.
PMHx: Asthma.
Trop#1: (+) 1700 but EKG#1 only done 3 hours from arrival.
Pain remains continuous; initiated NTG IV unto pain-free.
Trop#2: 10700 with pain lessened but still present w/ EKG#2.
Covered w/ PLAVIX and LOVENOX. Increased NTL IV.
Cardiology was consulted and was not convinced of EKG finding, therefore to not send emergently to cathlab and to be reassessed in am.
Pain still lingers in at 2/10 and trop#3 29000 and EKG#3.
Discussion: Do you agree with the outcome or management? What do you see in the EKG's that the ER-MD missed? What would you have done?
