Dermatology
40 year old male, keeps farm animals. Preceding history of trauma with a wooden stick over right forearm around 1 month back, following which small, red papular lesions appeared about a week later, progressively grew in size to form these nodules now with no other systemic complaints. He tried to remove the smaller one himself, says it expressed fluid along with some blood and now has overlying pustules. The lesions don't itch, not painful or tender 'at all'; only slightly indurated, not friable, no previous history of similar lesions. No lymphadenopathy. No history of any chronic illness. Planned for biopsy tomorrow. Sending differentials:
- Pyogenic granuloma
- Sporotrichosis
- Atypical mycobacterial infection
- Hypertrophic granulation tissue
Anything to add to the list?
*The lesions are not scaly or desquamating... that's just some antibiotic ointment he has applied over the nodules

Prior to coming to the clinic, he was scratching the lesion and drew some blood. States that he had other photos of the lesion and it has always been skin colored. He denies itching or spontaneous bleeding from the lesion otherwise. He has no other complaints.
