76yom with bothersome varicose veins on the right leg. On his request without anaesthesia I bound both ends of each vein transcutaneously. Plan is to leave sutures in until vein luminae fibrose - about 2 weeks. Unusual treatment for sure. But he was SO happy with the results on his left leg from an identical treatment I did 20 years before, that he travelled from another country to request the same contralateral. Medical ethics dictate that we share successful treatments with the profession.. but 20 years ago Figure1 was not. And not all of these succeed as well as this one. And he only returned now for me to witness the long term outcome.
