One of the main problems in the management of some congenital melanocytic naevi (CMNs) is the potential risk for malignant transformation, and follow‐up examinations can be useful. The small field of view of dermatoscopes limits the application of digital dermoscopy in these lesions. The recently published image montage technique called wide area digital dermoscopy (WADD) allows a single‐image global evaluation for these cases by merging multiple overlapping dermoscopic images. We present a WADD image of a CMN (5 × 2·1 cm) with halo phenomenon on the left leg of a 24‐year‐old male patient (a), obtained after merging eight dermoscopic images (b, c) using the Photomerge feature of Adobe Photoshop software, as previously described.](https://app.figure1.com/case-detail/8818f4d9-8c9d-4bcf-a8e5-f406e2acedb8)
