9 year old with Seborrheic eczema?

A young healthy 9 year old male came to me with itching on his scalp. No loss of hair, no alopecia. They have no pets, no family history of psoriasis, eczema or atopy. With the physical examination I saw only a little bit of scaling but no redness. I thought of seborrheic eczema and treated it with selenium sulphide. The scaling disappeared after 2 weeks. But the itching is still there and it is ‘killing’ my patient. My question is: is there something I miss? What can I do? Any tips?
