Case Discussion
Far out peripheral shot of a mass. Patient has no symptoms and was referred for eval of choroidal #Nevus. Bscan shows 4 DD elevation and OCT of furtherest edge shows fluid. What would you recommend for plan of care?

Intraocular mass centered on posterior choroid. Histology shows mitotically active lesion with mixed epithelial and spindle cell morphology. Note the prominent macronucleoli. Focal areas of pigment formation were seen. MelA stain is positive, confirmatory of #uveal-melanoma
63 male relatively healthy for age. No vision loss noticed per pt. OD is clear and healthy. 11x10 mm solid pigmented choroidal lesion. 4 mm raised. Bscan shows low to mod internal reflectivity. Negative fluid/heme/orange pigment. Large nevus vs small melanoma. Thoughts? Patient sent for melanoma eval, as we do not treat them.
