painful white patchy lesions on tongue. Lesions are not remove able with tongue blade. Tongue bleeds with eating food. Pt also presents with a sore throat. Red ulcers on tonsils which are red and swollen. Thoughts?

47yo married man w PMH H. Pylori GERD, gout, and HL presents for annual physical exam. Meds include Flonase, pravastatin, ranitidine, Ginko, and Centrum. ROS: mouth ulcers x4 months, heart burn, 2 years of left groin itch/redness, denied h/o STIs, denied constitutional sx. PE: VS wnl, no weight changes, oral ulcers confined to tongue, left groin/inguinal erythema (prescribed nystatin).
