31 year old male complains of right shoulder pain and arm deformity for 2 days. Pain and deformity began with a pop on an obstacle during a spartan race. Today he has pain in the right anterior shoulder and arm with a proximal biceps deformity. Normal radiographs. MRI noted signal in the SLAP region with the biceps tendon not in the bicipital groove.
He had a shoulder arthroscopy noting the SLAP tear in the images and the proximal biceps tendon rupture (images).
He had a SLAP repair and a subpectoral biceps tenodesis with a double loaded suture anchor.
6 months postop he has returned to full activities.
I’d be interested to hear what others opinions are on supra-pectoral tenodesis vs sub-pectoral tenodesis.

Pain started 3 months ago. Started in middle of upper arm and radiated to the shoulder, anterior and posterior. Pain is now absent but no movement of shoulder possible.

85/m brought in by EMS for fall. Not placed in a c-collar. C/O shoulder pain rt arm weakness. Showed the images to the Rad immediately and a c-collar was placed.
