Is fever sign for death

Female pt 70 years old. Complaint of fever since two days it is a cut onest and stationary.. It is 39c... Past history reveals stroke five years which influence her bulbar nerves and made her conscious but not oriented to time, place, persons so associated symptoms with fever isn't obtained but no vomiting or diarrhea.

Examination reveal normal blood pressure and high random blood sugar.... She obtains her feeding only from milk so she don't take any oral medication for diabetes.

What your suggestion?

I told her family she must go to hospital but they refuse... I asked for cbc... Ecg... Cardiac enzymes... Hba1c.... Pelviabdominal ultrasound and urine analysis and stool analysis.
