Patient Information:
Female patient, 47 years old.
Medical History:
Abdominoplasty 3 years ago
Increased volume at the umbilical scar and pain.
Clinical Protocol:
Clinical diagnosis of umbilical hernia.
Ultrasound is not needed for diagnostic confirmation.
Treatment:
Umbilical hernia repair with preperitoneal mesh.
Macroporous polypropylene mesh, 7.5 x 7.5 cm

Patient:
39-year-old female
Symptoms:
Noticed a bulge at the level of the umbilical scar, which progressively increased in size.
Discomfort exacerbated by physical effort.
Physical Examination:
A reducible umbilical protrusion was identified.
Defect more evident with Valsalva maneuver.
Diagnostic Workup:
Clinical findings consistent with umbilical hernia.
Abdominal wall ultrasound for diagnostic confirmation revealed fascial defect without incarceration.
