a 39-year-old woman presenting with sharp back pain between shoulder blades. She has a medical history of only hypertension and is on medication (lercanidipine). She was referred to the ER with clinical suspicion of acute coronary syndrome (ACS). However, she was later diagnosed with acute aortic dissection.
Initial vital signs at the ER were stable besides to blood pressure (Rx arm 184/95 mmHg , Lx arm 188/75 mmHg).
Electrocardiogram (EKG) showed NSR with nonspecific ST deviation. Laboratory findings were normal includes negative Troponin.
CXR was normal. #aorticdissection #dissection
