Axial FLAIR (image 1) and sagittal T1 FLAIR MRI images show a hypothalamic hamartoma (arrow). Patients with these lesions classically present with gelastic or laughing seizures.
Sagittal (image 1), coronal (image 2), and axial (image 3) T2 weighted images show the tectal mass. This mass is mostly solid with small T2 hyperintense foci.
Sagittal T2-weighted with fat saturation (image 1), sagittal T1-weighted (image 2) MRI reveal a central lipoma with absence/dysgenesis of the corpus callosum.
Axial head CT at the level of the posterior fossa shows a hypodense mass with calcification (arrow). This was shown to represent an ependymoma.
