3yrs old female with chronic eczema. Currently on trianex 0.005% steroid cream, Wet wrap treatment of wet pajama over a dry layer and moisturizing cream (xeraCalm by avene). Parent reported that wet wrapping is not working because child cant stand anything on skin and will undress self. In addition on “Wetting” skin during showers/bath or upon any treatment application, child becomes very itchy and scratches skin to a point of breaking the skin. Other symptoms noted includes goosebumps all over the body that wont go away and Alopecia areata on the back of the head, and lack of sleep due to the extreme itchiness. How else can this child be helped?
