Unknown ulcerations bilat lower limb

Details

Elderly lady in residential aged care. She has previously had similar ulcers related to a medication that healed years ago.

No known cause. Not on any medications that are known for causing ulcers.

Was being treated with varivex (zonc paste bandage) for approx 11 months with no improvement. Currently being treated with silver impregnated gauze, absorbent padding, and crepe bandaging.

Update 1

Limbs have improved. Updated with new case.

Update 2

Significant improvement with use of ionic silver dressings. Handed over care back to RACF staff to manage remaining small ulcers.
