EMS was called to home of a 50-year-old woman who was found unresponsive and “trembling” on the couch. Patient was alert but confused on arrival to the ED complaining of a bad headache, sore throat, and fever x 1 days. Blood glucose 126. Temperature was 99 F/37.2 C. Patient was put in isolation and #COVID workup started. Patient tested positive for strep. Negative for flu and COVID. A CT three hours later found this #intracranial hemorrhage. CT would have been done immediately if the altered mental status protocol was initiated vs COVID.

A 52-year-old man presented with a 20-minute history of chest pain radiating to the left shoulder and neck, associated with dyspnea and diaphoresis. He had a history of hypertension, long-term smoking, and a sedentary lifestyle. On physical examination, bibasilar crackles were noted on lung auscultation.
