Case Report

male 40s with no Hx of medical problems. He presented several weeks ago with rash to arms, hands and feet. Labs drawn which were all normal except blood sugar mildly elevated. He was treated with climdamycin, decadron in office. Sent home with bactrim and Medrol dose pack. Presents today with worsening rash to arms and hands. The rash to his feet has resolved. He has had no fever or chills, no recent illness, no new derm contacts. Help please.

23 yo Female. Has maculopapular rash which will blister on bilateral elbows, hands, fingers, palms, feet.. Blisters are filled with clear fluid. Rash is pruritic and present for four months. Biopsy of lesion is negative for cancer or scabies. No other complaints except a lot of bruising on arms and legs. She denies any pain, but has been having headaches which might not be related. Only medication is birth control pill which she has been on for 3 years.


25 month old AA male. Onset of rash 48 hours ago. Started as a lesion on the lip and has spread to the arms, hands, and feet. The rash on the feet is a Maculopapular-rash and not on the soles of the feet. No fever. Patient eating and drinking fine. Rash not puritic. Patient complains of pain when it’s touched. Consent obtained to share pictures.


6 m.o. M who recently arrived from Venezuela. Has this rash in both his feet for 4 wks. Delayed in vaccines. No other symptoms. He has similar lesions in right hand. They are not itchy.


50-year-old female with history of diverticulitis, asthma, gerd, eczema and c-diff presents with new onset of rash on only the palms of hands after taking medrol dose pack for dermatitis flare on her arms. Feet pics are chronic but increased pruritus. Any idea what the rash on her hands could be? She has tried on her hands and feet...betamethasone oint, urea 40%, clobatasol cream and miconazole powder without much improvement. most recently added terbinafine cream. Hands are very itchy. Thank you for any input.
