I recently had a patient (EMS) who went into ventricular fib | Figure 1

Case Description

I recently had a patient (EMS) who went into ventricular fibrillation as we were walking into his room. When this happened he went from seated normally, fully alert to decerebrate posturing as he arrested. Is there a name for this? I want to do more research into why this happens but I’m not sure where to start.

For context, this patient was having a heart attack, 100% occlusion of the left main coronary. After 2 cycles of CPR and a shock we got ROSC and he woke up.
