Why you should join Figure 1

Acute Monocytic Leukemia (M5) found in 2 month old. Patient was previously taken to the ER two weeks prior for fever, loss of appetite, and low responsiveness, no labs were performed. Symptoms worsened and was brought back into a second ER. Patient achieved full remission after months of treatment.

This patient presented with progressively decreasing hemoglobin and hematocrit and increasing white count with no other symptoms. Less important than the diagnosis is what you see on this smear (apologize for the boxes, the auto detect facial features incorrectly blocked those areas).

73y/o female admitted with history of CML and AML. The first CBC and smear are shown followed by a CBC and smear done two days later. What do you see on the smears and what happened to explain the white count?

Here is a leukemia case for blood cancer month #blood15. This is a monocytic leukemia in a peds patient. WBC was >500k initially, platelets were <10k, HGB was 3. Patient was too unstable for a BM and LP but signs indicate CNS involvement. Don't mind the grey boxes. #Figure1 put it in because it has facial recognition software built in.

Patient in late teens presenting after a collapse, no chest pain, no previous cardiac history, no history of sudden death in family, are there any features in this EKG that would warrant further work-up or is this just a pediatric EKG?
