Patient presented complaining of waking up with a bubbling-type noise in her left ear and occasional discomfort, no symptoms or URTI, no allergies, hearing intact. On examination found this little guy, still alive and fluttering his wings. Successfully flushed out and patient grateful not to have "bug eating her brains" anymore. :-)

H/O patient is using earbuds for cleaning his ears. He said that he used earphones for 6-7 hours daily. \ Than i checked his ear using endoscope and later i found this image.
Tips:\

  1. Avoid using softtips/earbuds for cleaning the ears it affects the eardrum.\

First picture for reference. Before and after. Found in a ball of wax in an eighty something ladies' ear. End broke off whilst attempting to clean her ears. Been there a couple of weeks at least. 74yof reports loss of left hearing following a cold. Saw ENT, but they were unable to prevent her discrim from getting so bad. Pt was fit with binaural hearing aids and is adjusting well.
