Case Presentation
60 yo M with PMH EtOH hepatitis, cirrhosis, DM2 complaining of “rash” on his bilateral ears (picture 1) which first appeared about 1 month ago. Initially started on L ear with some dry, flaky skin, which he picked at and would cause it to bleed and scab over. No pruritus or drainage. The “rash” subsequently spread to the same location on his other ear. Skin exam revealed the findings in the other images, which he states have been present for many years and have not changed significantly. Labs are unremarkable aside from an elevated A1c to 9.8.
