65 Years old male diabetic (well controlled), came to us with a diabetic ulcer on his right lower limb. Debridement was done, followed by honey dressings until the wound bed had healthy granulation tissue (Pic 1). We chose to go with a split thickness graft after his granulation tissue cultures came back negative for any bacterial growth. Pic 2 is intraoperative. Each of the subsequent pictures is taken three days apart from the previous one. Comments? Criticism? Anything I could have done to improve the outcome?
