78 y/o F, hx: DM2 with A1C in 9's, CVA, AFib, Coumadin tx, previously treated for "hard corn" on end of 2nd toe by podiatry. Pt dropped can on toe. Developed erythema to toe, pain, cellulitis to shin. Progressed to pallor to toe and #Hospitalization in 2 days. On #Vancomycin Zosyn. MRI showed infection with bone involvement to distal phalanx of toe, no #Fracture. Toe now with obvious #Necrosis. Pt in OR for #Amputation.
