12 year male, a known case of aplastic anemia presents in this posture.
O/E GCS 3/15 with R pupil fixed and dilated and L pupil fixed in mid dilated position. Plantar was B/L unequivocal.
Ix showed Hb 7.4 TLC 1256 Plt 10,000.
NCCT was planned but could not be carried out as patient expired soon after.
- Identify the posture.
- What do you think was the cause of death?
I have seen many people die since its my job after all, but this was one was extremely distressing. My prayers to the parents.
