34 yo F 2.5 weeks post clinically diagnosed COVID-19
Clinical diagnosis based on fever, body aches, mild cough and O2 sats in the 80-86% range for 3-4 days with slow improvement to near normal by this week. First noted purpura on right inner thigh last night. No pain or itch associated with marks. Striae likely secondary to Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. Patient was managed at home with albuterol and has had no complications. Has anybody else seen this type of rash in other COVID patients?
28 yo Caucasian female pmhx significant for ehlers-danlos syndrome, POTS, chronic pain and opiate dependence
Presents with a midline sacral erythematous skin rash s/p blood patch for CSF leak. MRI shows as above. What is that lesion at the end of the cord? Is that a lesion? It approximates to skin lesion location.
38 yrs old female, chronic back pain, pain going down both legs
Ehlers-Danlos syndrome type 3. Thoughts?
25 yo female
Presents with chronic joint/muscle pain for 5 years off and on. Extremely hypermobile joints, Beighton score 6, wingspan longer than height, pinky finger and thumb overlap when wrapping around wrist. Chronic fatigue, IBS constipation, and skin bruises easily. Toes point inward when laying down on back. Rheumatologist states “cannot rule out Ehlers Danlos Syndrome.” Does this sound more like Marfan syndrome or EDS type 3 or something else? Patient doesn’t know what steps to take next but needs pain relief and a diagnosis to try to improve quality of life.
