Patient Information
- Female patient, 85 years old.
- Medical History: Arterial hypertension, hypothyroidism, peripheral venous insufficiency.
- Current Medications: Losartan 100 mg/day, Levothyroxine 50 mcg/day, Varicoss 2X/day, medium compression elastic stockings.
Presenting Complaints
- Venous ulcer of 1 month of evolution.
- Symptoms: significant pain and itching around the injury.
Treatment Prescribed
- Penicillin G Benzatine 1,200,000 IU once a week for 3 weeks.
- Collagenase ointment and sunflower oil to apply around the lesion.
