50 year old female, hypertensive and nondiabetic, has complaints of bleeding per rectum and painful defecation since 1 year.
On physical examination, was found to have external thrombosed hemorrhoids at 7 and 11 o clock position. Sphincter tone was normal.
The patient is planned for closed hemorrhoidectomy (Ferguson) after having managed her comorbidities and modifiable risk factors like constipation and dietary and fluid intake modifications.
