14 yo female presents complaining of left lateral knee pain after direct trauma to the area while fall in dance class x 5 days. Pt states that since than she has had popping and clicking laterally with an unstable feeling present as well however I Prudden and ice have helped. Exam is positive of tenderness over the IT band at distal femur/lateral knee with popping and clicking noted in knee flexion. Noble's and Ober's tests positive. No ligament laxity Lachman's and McMurrays negative. X-rays as above. Dx and tmt?
