58 yo post laryngecromy , radiation, chemotherapy,with tracheostomy, feeding portal, now presents with 3 day acute swelling most likely from an abscessed lower molar. Without the preexisting trach, she would have obstructed. This is why I am very aggressive in removing any teeth anywhere near the radiation portals.
