pt initially presented with wound infx after scraping leg on retaining block. This is 1 wk post keflex tid and daily santyl dressing. Wound is looking significantly better in my opinion. PMH is significant for colitis txd with mesalamine.

A patient presented at the opd with complaint of these wounds appearing on her left leg. The first one appeared on her foot a month ago after a minor trauma from a metallic door. Later the others appeared one after another spontaneously. Wounds are round. She was applying antibiotic powder at the wounds hence the white patch in the third picture is actually a powder. There are no findings on general physicak examination? Wounds are painful, round and ulcerating. No lymphadenopathy.
There is no past medical or surgical history

62yo patient with wound on right calf which formed 15 days ago. There's no diabetes or history of venous insufficiency. 5 days ago laboratory analysis showed eleveted white blood count (12x109) and C reactive protein (170). Started Ceftriaxone intravenously with Metronidazole orally. Local findings getting progressively worse, noticed necrosis in wound bed. Laboratory findings today - WBC 24x109, CRP 280.
